It's amazing how the Major League baseball deadline stirs up the baseball world. Everyone and their brother were waiting for a blockbuster deal with the featured talent being Manny Ramirez. There was a second huge deal consummated within 24 hours of the deadline - Ken Griffey Jr., a sure future Hall Of Famer, was traded from his "daddy's" team, the Cincinnati Reds to the Chicago White Sox. And don't forget Ivan Rodriguez to the New York Yankees for who? Farnsworth!

As a baseball fan the trade deadline is one of the most exciting times of the baseball season and for your favorite team. It provides plenty of fodder for your next water cooler discussions.
