The Double Switch in Baseball

If you're a baseball fan you know that the double switch is. For those of us you who would like to know more about how to score baseball, a double switch is a substitution where a manager makes both a pitching change and a fielding change. It is seen alot in the National League but not in the American league because of the DH.

By executing a double switch a new pitcher and a new fielder and introduced. The the new fielder replaced the pitcher and hits in his position. The new pitcher replaces the fielder and bats in his spot.

The reason why this is done is to immediately improve his fielding and pitching and hitting lineup. And it's done all in one move.
